Klang: Police have confirmed the involvement of a criminal syndicate in a shooting incident in Meru, Klang, near here, last June 20 that resulted in the death of a man. Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan announced the arrest of two local suspects, aged 25 and 40, believed to be members of a secret society, in connection with the case.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the suspects were apprehended in Klang, and authorities believe the incident is not a random act. The suspected motive involves a dispute between secret societies. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the conflict is related to territorial issues, drug activities, or other factors.
Datuk Hussein noted that the police are continuing to investigate whether the shooting involved a hired killer or was executed by members of the secret society themselves.
On June 20, the victim, a 46-year-old local man, was found shot dead in front of a motorcycle shop in Taman Meru Utama. The man was discovered face down and covered in blood in the driver's seat of a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
