Aidiladha Reinforces Values Of Sacrifice, Sincerity, And Submission To Allah’s Will – Saifuddin Nasution

Kuala Lumpur: Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said Aidiladha underscores the spiritual essence of Islam, while reinforcing the values of sacrifice, sincerity and submission to Allah's will. He expressed hope that this Aidiladha would deepen faith, strengthen love, and help build a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Malaysian society.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Saifuddin emphasized the significance of every sacrifice made, whether big or small, as a means to draw closer to Allah's pleasure. He urged those returning to their hometowns for the celebration to drive carefully and cherish the festive time with loved ones to foster unity and strengthen bonds of kinship. He also invited Malaysians who do not celebrate Aidiladha to embrace the spirit of unity by visiting and connecting with one another, highlighting that Aidiladha is not only a celebration of sacrifice for Muslims but also a reflection of compassion and togetherness for all Malaysians. The security and harmony of the nation, he noted, is a shared duty for all.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said echoed similar sentiments, stating that Aidiladha serves as a reminder of the values of sacrifice, sincerity, and obedience to Allah SWT. She recounted the story of Prophet Ibrahim A.S's willingness to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail A.S, as an act of obedience, and how Allah SWT, in His mercy, replaced the sacrifice with an animal, symbolizing His love for obedient servants. Azalina expressed hope that this Aidiladha would nourish the spirit of sacrifice and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among all people, encouraging celebrations with gratitude and humility.

Other ministers, including Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, and Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, also extended their Aidiladha greetings on social media.
