Aminuddin Harun Confirmed as Sole Menteri Besar Candidate for Negeri Sembilan

Kuala lumpur: Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) has reiterated its support for Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun as the sole candidate for the position of Menteri Besar, should the coalition continue to hold power following the upcoming state election. This announcement was made by DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke, who also serves as the Negeri Sembilan DAP chairman, confirming that Aminuddin is the only candidate under consideration.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Loke clarified that Aminuddin, who is also the chairman of Negeri Sembilan PH, remains the sole candidate due to the stipulations of the State Constitution, which mandates that the Menteri Besar must be a Malay Muslim member of the State Legislative Assembly. Loke addressed the media after inspecting the completed KTMB railway track project in Bahau, emphasizing that rumours of him being a candidate were unfounded and propagated by political adversaries.

Loke's statement came as a response to a suggestion by UMNO secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, who had earlier urged PH to prepare an alternative candidate in case Aminuddin is unable to secure the Linggi state seat in the forthcoming election.
