Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he would wait for the complete report of the Special Task Force investigating the management of the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) before making any official announcement.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the special task force had begun its work and the findings of the investigation were expected to be presented in the near future. Anwar emphasized the importance of understanding both past and current management issues, as well as identifying ways to improve management practices moving forward.
Anwar made these remarks after officiating a Friendly Session with Felda Top Management and Managers at Tenera Hotel. The event was attended by FELDA chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir and director-general Datuk Dr Suzana Idayu Wati Osman.
The media had previously reported that the Special Task Force report on FELDA was expected to be completed in a few months before being made public. Anwar assured that the report would be released to the public as soon as it was finalized, encouraging the public to read it thoroughly, similar to the Royal Commission of Inquiry report on the Tabung Haji Board.
