Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that investigations and legal proceedings involving former Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan should be entrusted to the relevant authorities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that matters under investigation or prosecution fall under the jurisdiction of agencies such as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC). "Once it reaches that stage, it is no longer my concern. I will leave it to the MACC or AGC to examine," he informed reporters after Friday prayers at Masjid Sembilang.

Anwar was addressing inquiries regarding a letter Saravanan had sent to him concerning his case. Saravanan clarified that the letter was not intended to seek Anwar's intervention or to have the case dismissed, but rather to explain his position.

Earlier today, the Tapah MP pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to three corruption charges involving RM1.097 million connected to foreign worker quota approvals.
