Kuala lumpur: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) has declared an income distribution of 5.50 sen per unit for its fixed-price fund, Amanah Saham Bumiputera 3 Didik (ASB 3 Didik), for the financial year ending June 30, 2026. The distribution results in a total payout of RM480 million, benefiting 354,651 unitholders who collectively hold 9.85 billion units.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, ASNB's parent company, Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), highlighted that this distribution represents a total return of 5.50 percent, marking the fund's highest distribution in the past eight years. This performance surpasses its benchmark, the Maybank 12-Month Fixed Deposit rate of 2.05 percent, by 345 basis points. As of June 22, 2026, ASB 3 Didik recorded a net realised income of RM568 million.
PNB reported that the current financial year's income distribution of 5.50 sen per unit is an increase from the previous year's 5.25 sen per unit. This achievement comes despite challenges such as interest rate uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and market volatility in the global investment landscape. The stronger payout was attributed to the fund's disciplined investment approach and its ability to capitalize on opportunities from technology-driven market leadership.
According to PNB, the performance demonstrates its commitment to delivering sustainable income and long-term value for Bumiputera investors through disciplined and proactive investment management. Throughout the year, the fund generated most of its income from realised gains and dividends from a diversified portfolio of domestic and global equities. In response to market conditions, the fund increased its allocation to fixed income assets to enhance income stability and portfolio resilience.
PNB added that these results underscore its disciplined investment approach, supported by robust portfolio management, active risk oversight, and continuous performance monitoring across market cycles.
