AWC Unit Secures RM22.18 Million Data Centre Contract

Kuala lumpur: Main Market-listed engineering services group, AWC Bhd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Qudotech Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM22.18 million contract from a joint venture contractor for a data centre project. The identity of the awarder remains undisclosed due to confidentiality requirements, according to AWC's filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the contract was awarded through a letter of award on Tuesday and is slated for completion by December 27, 2026. AWC's president and group chief executive officer, Datuk Ahmad Kabeer Mohamed Nagoor, stated that the contract is a testament to the trust their partners have in AWC's ability to execute specialized data centre projects.

Ahmad Kabeer emphasized that this contract marks the engineering division's second data centre project win in the financial year 2026, aligning with their strategy to bolster their presence in high-tech and mission-critical infrastructure projects. He noted that AWC remains vigilant amid new tariff measures and the ongoing conflict in West Asia, which may impact global oil prices, trade flows, and investor sentiment.

The company intends to monitor these developments closely, ensuring prudent management of their business to protect the group's performance and long-term interests.
