Kuala Lumpur:Axis Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) shares experienced an uptick in early trading, following a notable improvement in its third-quarter performance ending September 30, 2026.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the share price increased by one sen to RM1.79 at 10.14 am, with a trading volume of 53,700 shares. The REIT reported a higher net profit of RM54.79 million for the third quarter of 2026, up from RM52.12 million in the same period last year, while revenue decreased to RM90.77 million from RM92.76 million.
A research note from RHB Investment Bank Bhd indicated expectations for a gradual recovery in earnings starting from the fourth quarter of 2026. This recovery is anticipated to be driven by committed lease-ups and contributions from recent acquisitions. The bank attributed the earnings setback to timing issues and temporary vacancies during tenant transitions, while the growing pipeline of largely pre-leased assets is expected to provide earnings visibility for the financial year 2027.
RHB Investment Bank has maintained its 'Buy' recommendation on Axis REIT, setting a target price of RM2.30 per share.
