Kuala lumpur: The Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future, an initiative of Teach For All, will host the Better Future Forum over three days beginning May 12, bringing together 200 of the world's most influential education practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and student leaders in Singapore.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, participants from more than 50 countries, including educators, heads of state agencies, multilateral institutions, civil society organizations, and students, will attend the forum, which is built around practice-led learning. Insights from classrooms and communities across five continents will be shared and connected with global education leaders capable of scaling them.
'The Better Future Forum exists because the most powerful knowledge about how to reshape education lives in classrooms and communities. Our job is to bring those insights into the same room as the people who can help spread them,' said the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future Director, Cheryl Fernando.
At a time of disruption in global education, driven by the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), geopolitical conflict, and widening inequality in learning outcomes, the forum aims to spark a shift in education systems, transforming practices and culture to achieve holistic outcomes for students.
The 2026 programme will focus on emerging evidence regarding holistic student development and include sessions on education in the age of AI, culminating in the Better Future Showcase, a TED-style platform for educators and student leaders to present innovations reshaping global learning outcomes.
Confirmed speakers include Singapore Ministry of Education former Deputy Director-General of Education (Professional Development), Chua-Lim Yen Ching; Teach For All Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, Wendy Kopp; and ACE Team Foundation Co-founder, Chloe Tong.
The Forum's Global Advisory Council includes leaders from The Brookings Institution, The OECD, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Ashoka, SEAMEO, and Teach For India.
