Teluk intan: A seven-year-old boy was found drowned after he was believed to have fallen into a drain at Jalan Chenderong Balai, Labu Kubong near Teluk Intan early today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak Fire and Rescue Department acting assistant director of operations Shazlean Mohd Hanafiah stated that the victim was believed to have fallen into a two-metre-deep drain in an incident that occurred between 5 pm and 6 pm yesterday. He reported that a team from the Teluk Intan Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call at 12.23 am.

Villagers had initially attempted to locate the victim but were unsuccessful. Firefighters later discovered the body at the bottom of the drain, approximately 800 metres from where he was reported to have fallen. The body was subsequently handed over to the police for further action. The operation concluded at about 4.10 am.
