Kuala lumpur: Civil servants must remain committed to the principles of integrity, professionalism, and neutrality in carrying out their duties to ensure national stability and policy continuity amid an increasingly dynamic political landscape, said Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that every policy formulated and implemented must be guided by the national interest and the well-being of the people, free from the influence of changing political conditions.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadillah highlighted the importance of sound policy continuity in remaining competitive, strengthening governance, and maintaining investor confidence and economic stability. He shared these insights through a Facebook post following his attendance at the Advanced Leadership and Management Programme (ALMP) Discourse Series 87, No. 2/2026 at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
Fadillah noted that in light of geopolitical challenges, global economic uncertainty, and pressure on national finances, the civil service must maintain a forward-looking mindset, act strategically, and manage national resources responsibly. He also underscored the necessity of prioritizing the welfare of the people through sustainable and prudent policies.
"The mandate of a civil servant goes beyond merely performing tasks. It carries a profound responsibility to ensure Malaysia continues to progress as a prosperous, resilient, and thriving nation for the benefit of both current and future generations," he stated.
