Putrajaya: The Communications Ministry will enhance its cooperation with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to ensure the dissemination of accurate information to the public, as stated by Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

According to Bernama News Agency, the strategic partnership will also tackle communication challenges in the digital age. Fahmi shared in a Facebook post that this collaboration is crucial for addressing the spread of false and illegal information online, which poses a threat to national and public security.

Earlier, Fahmi hosted a courtesy call from Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail at his office in Putrajaya. Bernama reported that Mohd Khalid emphasized the importance of this partnership in maintaining public safety by curbing misinformation on social media platforms.
