Kuala lumpur: CUCKOO International (MAL) Berhad (CUCKOO Malaysia) has consolidated its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives under a new master blueprint, the 'CUCKOO Loves, Cares Project', while introducing the RM100,000 CUCKOO Dream Fund to support the development of young local creative talents.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the blueprint serves as a framework to organise CUCKOO Malaysia's current and future CSR initiatives under a more structured approach aimed at creating safer, healthier, and happier spaces while improving living standards. The initiative comprises two main impact areas: CUCKOO Loves, focusing on community support, crisis, and disaster relief, and CUCKOO Cares, centering on wellness access, environmental conservation, and youth empowerment.
Successful applicants will receive grants of up to RM10,000 per project, consisting of up to RM5,000 under the Creative Fund and up to RM5,000 under the Social Impact Alignment Fund for projects demonstrating community impact. Applications for the first cycle will open from July 1 to September 30, 2026, with the RM100,000 allocation to be distributed across two application cycles.
Meanwhile, CUCKOO Malaysia has appointed trilingual singer-songwriter and Mandopop artiste Firdhaus as its first-ever CUCKOO CSR Friend to champion the company's CSR initiatives and serve as a mentor for CUCKOO Dream Fund recipients. CUCKOO Malaysia Non-Independent Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Hoe Kian Choon stated that the initiative reflects the company's growing commitment to social impact, emphasizing that business success must always align with social impact.
"For us, business success must always go together with social impact. As our company grows, our responsibility to improve the homes and spaces, as well as the standard of living for all Malaysians, expands with it. By bringing all our efforts under one clear CSR blueprint, we are moving forward strategically with greater purpose as a Healthy Home Creator to deliver lasting changes that truly elevate the communities, lives, and spaces we touch," he said.
Meanwhile, CUCKOO Malaysia Chief Marketing Officer Queenie Goh commented on the appointment of Firdhaus as the company's first CUCKOO CSR Friend, stating that it would help raise awareness of its CSR initiatives and encourage more people to contribute towards social causes. "Moving forward with this unified blueprint, we hope to build more resilient communities by supporting vulnerable groups, protecting the environment, and empowering future generations," she said.
