Darul Naim Rice Mill To Boost Local Farmers, Strengthen National Supply

Kelantan: The soon-to-be-operational Darul Naim Rice Mill in Kelantan will empower local padi farmers by ensuring their harvests are processed within the state, strengthening both the local rice industry and national food security. Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar, Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan, said the facility in Meranti, Pasir Mas, is part of efforts to support farmers and enhance rice production.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Agriculture, Agri-Food Industry and Commodities Committee chairman, Datuk Tuan Mohd Saripudin Tuan Ismail, said the mill, developed in collaboration with external investors and state agencies, is nearing completion and awaiting final approval to commence operations this year. 'The mill will purchase padi at competitive prices and produce high-quality rice for the nation. With this facility, we can lower costs and improve farmers' earnings, contributing to the overall sustainability of the local rice industry,' he said when contacted.
