Dialog Group Net Profit Decline for FY2025 to RM303.83 Million

Kuala lumpur: Dialog Group Bhd's net profit for the financial year ended June 30, 2025 (FY2025) decreased significantly to RM303.83 million from RM575.03 million recorded in FY2024. Revenue also saw a decline, falling to RM2.5 billion from RM3.15 billion, the group reported in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the weaker full-year performance was mainly impacted by a loss after tax in the second quarter. This loss was attributed to one-off impairments in petrochemical and renewable projects, as well as cost overruns in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) projects.

For the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2025 (4Q 2025), Dialog Group registered a higher net profit of RM147.38 million compared to RM138.42 million in 4Q 2024. However, revenue for the quarter fell to RM608.34 million from RM810.07 million in the previous year. The increase in profit was driven by contributions from both Malaysian and international operations, along with profits from the group's joint ventures and associates.

Looking ahead, the group plans to expand its presence by developing and rejuvenating oil and gas fields for its upstream business. In its downstream operations, Dialog Group intends to leverage its established track record in integrated technical services, including EPCC, plant maintenance, catalyst handling services, and specialist products and services. The group emphasized a cautious and selective approach to bidding for EPCC contracts, prioritizing in-house projects.
