DIC Corporation Establishes World’s First HACCP-Compliant Facility for Coatings in Indonesia

Jakarta: DIC Corporation (TOKYO:4631) announced the establishment of a new production facility for coatings suitable for direct food contact materials at the PT. DIC Graphics plant in Jakarta, Indonesia. This facility is the first globally, operated by an inks manufacturer, to be designed in compliance with the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles, a recognized food safety management system. The facility aims to achieve a food safety management level similar to that of an average food product manufacturer.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the new facility has an annual production target of 1,000 tonnes by the fiscal year 2030. It will serve markets in Asian countries, including the People's Republic of China, and Oceania. This initiative is expected to support the DIC Group in meeting the increasing demand for sustainable packaging solutions. The company has applied for HACCP certification for this facility, marking a significant step in food safety and sustainable production practices.
