FBM KLCI Futures End Higher Amid Positive Cash Market Performance

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, the spot-month August 2025 rose by 10.0 points to 1,593.0. Meanwhile, the September 2025 contract gained 9.50 points to reach 1,572.50. The December 2025 futures increased by 8.5 points to 1,571.0, and the March 2026 contract improved by 6.5 points, closing at 1,554.50.

The turnover saw a decline, recording 5,598 lots compared to Monday's 5,843 lots. Additionally, open interest decreased to 43,803 contracts from the previous 44,057 contracts. By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI showed an increase of 5.28 points, or 0.33 percent, closing at 1,590.24, up from Monday's close of 1,584.96.
