Dr Savitha Dharan Appointed As CEO Of Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara

Kuala lumpur: Dr Savitha Dharan has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara, effective today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the hospital announced that Dr Savitha brings more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, hospital operations, strategic partnerships, business development, and healthcare leadership. The hospital emphasized that her appointment underscores Thomson's commitment to clinician-led leadership, highlighting the importance of strong clinical expertise combined with management capabilities in delivering patient-centred decision-making and high-quality healthcare.

Group CEO of TMC Life Sciences Berhad, Datuk Dr Adzuan Rahman, expressed delight in welcoming Dr Savitha to the TMC Life Sciences family. He stated that her clinical foundation, leadership, and strategic vision make her the ideal leader to guide Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara into its next phase of growth. Dr Adzuan also expressed confidence that she will further strengthen the hospital's position as a leading multidisciplinary tertiary healthcare provider, while advancing their commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and value-driven care.

Dr Savitha, meanwhile, expressed her privilege in leading Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara, which is known for delivering exceptional patient care. The hospital disclosed that Dr Savitha holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics (MB BCh BAO) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). She also completed executive education in Managing Health Care Delivery at Harvard Business School. After a decade in clinical practice across public and private sectors, Dr Savitha transitioned to healthcare leadership, holding senior roles in private healthcare groups and institutions, where she led initiatives in business transformation, operational excellence, service innovation, and strategic growth.
