Egypt Assures Smooth Passage for Malaysian Aid to Gaza, Says Anwar

Cairo: Egypt has provided a clear guarantee to facilitate the distribution of 374 tonnes of Malaysian humanitarian aid to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. This assurance was announced by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Malaysia's Prime Minister, following discussions with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar confirmed that President El-Sisi assured logistical support for delivering the aid, which is set to begin this April. The aid is intended for the Palestinian population in Gaza, with over 100,000 Gazans expected to benefit from the distribution. Anwar expressed his gratitude for the commitment, emphasizing the urgency of the situation in Gaza.

Anwar reiterated Malaysia's determination to overcome any hurdles, particularly those posed by the Israeli regime, which he accused of obstructing humanitarian efforts. He highlighted Malaysia's steadfast position in defending the rights of oppressed populations and called for prayers to ensure the safe delivery of the aid to Gaza.

The Prime Minister's statement underscores Malaysia's commitment to humanitarian causes and its diplomatic efforts to navigate complex geopolitical landscapes to provide assistance where it is most needed.
