Kampung chabang tiga: A fire at Kampung Chabang Tiga, Kedai Buloh, here last night affected eight houses. Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations and Station Management Branch chief Mohd Farid Ismail reported that five of the houses were completely destroyed, while the remainder sustained about 10 per cent damage.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the fire spread to several houses due to their wooden structures and the close proximity between them, estimated at about three feet (0.91 metres) apart. Mohd Farid Ismail explained that windy conditions caused the fire to spread rapidly, and firefighters took about an hour to bring it under control.

Fortunately, the occupants managed to get out of their homes. At the initial stage, the firefighting team faced difficulty in securing a water supply for operations, but this was resolved, allowing five houses to be saved from destruction.
