Former Kuala Krai UMNO Chief Datuk Ramzi Dies

Wakaf bharu: Former Kuala Krai UMNO division chief Datuk Ramzi Ab Rahman died at 2.40 am today at his home in Wakaf Bharu, Tumpat, from complications arising from kidney disease.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the death was confirmed by Kelantan UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub through a social media statement. He described Ramzi as a leader who served religion, the community, and the country, especially in advancing the interests of rural communities and strengthening UMNO's efforts in Kuala Krai. His contributions and sacrifices are noted to remain in memories.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan expressed his condolences to Ramzi's family during this time of loss and prayed for his forgiveness, blessings, and acceptance of his deeds. He wished for Ramzi to be granted a place among the faithful.

The funeral prayers for Ramzi, 68, a former Dabong state assemblyman and former chairman of the South Kelantan Development Authority (KESEDAR), are expected to be held at 11 am at Masjid Ar-Rahman Kubang Batang in Tumpat.
