Four Pan Borneo Sabah Phase 1A Packages Completed, Says Nanta


Kota Kinabalu: Four out of the 16 work packages under Phase 1A of the Pan Borneo Highway project in Sabah have been completed, as announced by Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi. The remaining 12 packages are currently under construction, with an overall progress of 81.7 percent.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nanta revealed that for Phase 1B, all 19 packages are underway and are currently 3.06 percent complete. He shared these updates in a Facebook post following a courtesy call on Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor. The Pan Borneo project was a key topic of discussion during his visit.



Nanta highlighted that the meeting also offered an opportunity for the ministry and its agencies to address road infrastructure issues under federal oversight. He emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Federal and Sabah governments to ensure the smooth progress of ongoing infrastructure projects. Additionally, he noted that RM323.69 million has been allocated for road maintenance in Sabah this year.
