Gabriel Peres Scores Late Equaliser to Secure Draw for Kuching City Against Tampines Rovers

Kuching:Brazilian forward Gabriel Peres scored twice, including a crucial injury-time equaliser, to earn Kuching City a 2-2 draw against Singapore's Tampines Rovers in their ASEAN Club Championship (ACC) 2026/2027 Group A clash at the Taha Ariffin Stadium.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the match saw Tampines Rovers take an early lead with a 13th-minute goal from Naberu Yoshitaka Furusawa. Kuching City managed to equalise in the 83rd minute when Peres found the back of the net with precision.

The visiting team quickly regained their advantage in the 87th minute through Koya Kazama's goal, putting Tampines Rovers ahead 2-1. However, Peres stepped up once again, delivering a last-minute goal to ensure Kuching City secured a point in their opening Group A fixture.

Kuching City is set to host Borneo FC Samarinda of Indonesia at the same venue on December 9 for their next match. Meanwhile, in other Group A results, Buriram United and Borneo FC Samarinda played to a 0-0 draw, while Thailand's Ratchaburi and Ho Chi Minh City Police ended their match 1-1.
