Hakim Danish Remains Optimistic for Podium Finish Despite Fourth Place at Malaysian GP

Sepang:National rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli remains undeterred in his pursuit of a podium finish this season, following a fourth-place result at the 2026 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix held at the Sepang International Circuit.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Terengganu-born rider expressed that although he did not achieve a podium finish in front of his home crowd, his determination has only increased for the remaining three races of the season.

Hakim Danish highlighted the challenges posed by the Honda machinery's advantage in high-speed corners at the Sepang circuit. Despite this, he managed an impressive performance, moving up to second place on lap 11 before ultimately finishing fourth after a competitive final lap battle.

Reflecting on his prospects for the remaining races, Hakim Danish conveyed his belief in the possibility of achieving a podium finish or securing another victory. He emphasized his commitment to continue striving toward these goals.

SIC Racing team manager Zulfahmi Khairuddin praised Hakim Danish's performance, noting his consistent competitiveness from practice sessions through to the race. He acknowledged the intense competition on the final lap but commended Danish for managing his emotions well throughout the event.
