Kuala lumpur: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh pays tribute to Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa for her contributions and leadership in the development of the Federal Territories during her tenure as minister.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Facebook post, Hannah Yeoh acknowledged Dr Zaliha's mature and inclusive leadership in addressing sensitive issues. As the Member of Parliament for Segambut, Yeoh expressed her appreciation for Dr Zaliha's leadership, especially in prioritising the voices and views of elected representatives in issues like Taman Rimba Kiara. Yeoh mentioned that Dr Zaliha prioritised stakeholders' consultation in resolving controversial issues and expressed gratitude for her efforts in engaging and seeking residents' feedback.
Yeoh stated her intention to sit down with Dr Zaliha in the coming days to review ongoing matters to ensure a smooth transition. She thanked Dr Zaliha for her firm stand and consultative leadership. Yeoh, who previously led the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was appointed to her current position following the MADANI Government Cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on December 16.
Hannah Yeoh had previously made history as the first woman and the youngest individual to be appointed as the Speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly, a role she held from 2013 to 2018. Meanwhile, Dr Zaliha has expressed her commitment to continue supporting the MADANI agenda and the reform policies aimed at benefiting the nation and its people.
