Kampung kepayang: Hospital Seri Botani has reinforced its dedication to community health by launching a Blood Pressure Monitoring Infak (Charity) Programme as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts during the Ramadan month.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr. Eric Yeoh Kok Ming, the hospital's chief executive officer, announced the contribution of three blood pressure monitoring units to Masjid Raudhatul Mukminin, Surau Diri Jumaat Al-Ansar in Seri Palma, and Surau Ta'adud Jumaat Ulul Albab in Seri Margosa. This marks a novel initiative by the hospital to donate healthcare equipment to the local community in Bandar Seri Botani during Ramadan.
Dr. Yeoh emphasized that the programme is not simply a donation but a strategic effort to promote self-screening practices and improve health literacy within the community. The launch event took place at Masjid Raudhatul Mukminin in Kampung Kepayang, where the hospital's assistant director of Nursing, Nur Izzati Megat Abdul Samad, provided a demonstration on the proper use of the machines to attendees, including mosque congregants.
Shamsul Jamil Shahrum, deputy chairman of Masjid Raudhatul Mukminin, expressed gratitude for the donation and urged the local community, including mosque attendees, to utilize the equipment effectively. He also called for more private sector involvement in partnering with mosques or surau to advance community health initiatives, aligning with Ramadan's spirit of compassion and togetherness.
