Human Graphic Structure On National Day Confirmed Safe – PPj

Putrajaya: The human graphic structure used in conjunction with the 2026 National Day Celebration has been re-inspected and confirmed to be safe for use, said Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) president Datuk Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the latest safety inspection and verification was carried out on August 29 following concerns raised regarding the movement of the structure. "The structure has been confirmed to be safe for use according to the specifications, capacity, and method of use set," he stated in a release.

Mohd Sakeri explained that the temporary structure was installed by an appointed contractor adhering to the technical specifications and safety requirements established. He noted that a certified engineer from the contractor inspected the structure, and it received a Green Tag after the inspection by a competent party.

He acknowledged that while the movement observed on the structure could cause concern, the safety assessment was based on engineering aspects such as design, installation method, stability, load capacity, and site conditions. Inspections were also conducted before and after use throughout the training and rehearsal period.

Mohd Sakeri assured that PPj, along with the contractor, will continue to monitor the structure's condition. Any changes affecting its stability will prompt repair work and technical re-inspection before the structure's usage. He emphasized that the safety of the public, staff, and participants remains PPj's priority to ensure that preparations for the 2026 National Day Celebration are carried out safely and in compliance with technical standards.
