IPTA Student Killed In Crash On KL-Karak Highway

Kuala lumpur: A 20-year-old female student of a public higher learning institution (IPTA) was killed after the car she was driving skidded and crashed at Kilometre 25.2 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway, heading towards Bentong, yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Gombak deputy police chief Supt Abang Kaderi Abang Wasli stated that the Gombak Traffic Police Station received a report on the fatal accident at 8.44 pm. Initial investigations revealed that the victim, driving a Perodua Axia, was believed to have lost control of the vehicle before colliding with a concrete road barrier on the right side of the lane.

The tragic incident occurred at approximately 7.20 pm, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical assistant from Selayang Hospital due to severe injuries. The body was then transported to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
