Penang: Jabil Inc. (NYSE: JBL), a global leader in engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing solutions, has opened its next-generation logistics hub in Penang.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jabil's new Intelligent Logistics Hub spans around 417,000 square feet and is located in the Valdor Industrial Park in Sungai Jawi, Penang. The digitalised facility is set to boost the company's back-end operations and support customers' rapidly growing product complexity and capacity demands using AI-enabled capabilities to streamline inventory management, enhance traceability and tracking, and deploy autonomous robots.
The new hub reflects Jabil's commitment to integrating advanced technologies within its logistics operations. By leveraging AI and automation, the Hub aims to improve efficiency and accuracy in handling inventory and logistics tasks. This initiative is expected to align with global trends towards smart manufacturing and logistics solutions.
