JKNJ Collaborates with Pos Malaysia to Enhance Free Medicine Delivery Service

Johor bahru: The Johor Health Department (JKNJ) is collaborating with Pos Malaysia to review and expand its free medicine delivery service. This initiative aims to accommodate the growing number of patients benefiting from the service, which has seen an increase from 6,000 to 20,000 users since its launch in 2024. According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Health and Environment Committee chairman Ling Tian Soon highlighted that JKNJ is working with Pos Malaysia to potentially include the delivery of temperature-sensitive medicines in the service. The service has been positively received by patients who can now avoid traveling to hospitals or clinics, thus saving time and avoiding transport-related issues. Ling further noted that the state government has allocated RM1.9 million to sustain this initiative. By assisting 20,000 patients each month in avoiding hospital or clinic visits, the service helps reduce congestion at health facilities and contributes to easing traffic.
