Alor setar: The Kedah government today announced a special financial assistance of RM2,000 for its 4,941 civil servants and members of the state administration as a token of appreciation for their dedication.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor shared that the payment will be made in two instalments, scheduled for January and March next year. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the political leadership and administrative machinery in the development of Kedah.

The Menteri Besar expressed his appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the civil servants and announced that the state government has approved the special financial assistance. The total allocation for this initiative amounts to RM10 million, as revealed during the tabling of Kedah's Budget 2026 at the State Legislative Assembly sitting.
