Pahang Sultan Attends The Parenthood’s 10th Anniversary Celebration

Sunway pyramid: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, today graced The Parenthood's A Decade of Joy celebration, held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the playground at its flagship London-themed outlet in Sunway Pyramid here. Al-Sultan Abdullah was joined by Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, as well as Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Ilyana Alia Al-Sultan Abdullah.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sultan signed a commemorative plaque and toured the facility before watching cultural and modern performances by the children. The performances included a Kuda Kepang dance by Tabika Perpaduan PPR Lembah Subang 2 and a modern dance by the Good Samaritan Home. The event gathered 120 children for an evening of play, performances, and charitable giving, reflecting The Parenthood's commitment over the past decade to creating safe and meaningful spaces for family recreation.

In conjunction with the celebration, The Parenthood presented RM5,000 each to Tabika Perpaduan PPR Lembah Subang 2 and the Good Samaritan Home, as well as RM30,000 to Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah (YASA) to support community and welfare initiatives. The Parenthood chairman, Datuk V. Radhakrishnan, highlighted that the company's journey extends beyond play equipment and colourful rooms, growing from a single idea into a trusted community for families across Malaysia, welcoming over 80,000 visitors monthly.

He announced plans to expand into Sabah and Sarawak with four new outlets next year, in addition to the eight current outlets across Peninsular Malaysia. Datuk V. Radhakrishnan reminisced, 'In 2015, we opened our doors with a clear promise, a space where children could release their energy, explore freely, and make new friends in a clean, secure and family-friendly environment. We were inspired by the playgrounds of the '70s, '80s, '90s and we held onto their essence while building a protected indoor which works for today's cities and today's parents.'

Established in 2015, The Parenthood operates Malaysia's first London-themed indoor playground, encouraging children to disconnect from screens and rediscover active play in a clean, family-friendly environment. Beyond its play facilities, The Parenthood also engages in corporate social responsibility initiatives, including providing school supplies and classroom furniture, as well as contributing RM1,000 per class under selected programs to improve learning spaces for children.
