Kelantan PMR 2025 To Feature Patriotic Elements To Mark National Month

Kelantan: The Kelantan MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025, scheduled for August 7 to 9, will coincide with the National Month celebration, with Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium as the main venue, set to come alive with a patriotic spirit. Director of the Socioeconomic Development Division, Coordination and Implementation Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister's Department, Dr. Abdul Hazif Abdul Hamid, stated that this edition of PMR would incorporate elements of patriotism and unity in both the venue decoration and programme line-up.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the stadium grounds will be adorned with the Jalur Gemilang, further enlivening the PMR celebration in Kelantan. This time, the programme will feature more than 100 selected services offered by various ministries and agencies, as a continuation of the PMR initiative introduced in 2024. Kelantan is the fifth location after Sabah, Terengganu, Kedah, and Negeri Sembilan.

Abdul Hazif mentioned that although the Kelantan PMR would be held on a smaller scale, targeting 25,000 visitors, the response was expected to surpass expectations. Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium was selected as the main venue due to its accessibility, iconic status among Kelantanese, and adequate parking facilities.

According to Abdul Hazif, key highlights of the programme include job opportunities for youths, with walk-in interview sessions for over 800 positions offered by various participating agencies and companies. This presents an opportunity for youths in Kelantan to attend and secure jobs on the spot. Additionally, exhibitions on technology, scientific innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI) will be organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), the lead ministry for the programme.

Abdul Hazif also highlighted other attractions such as a free helmet exchange initiative by the Road Transport Department, discounts on traffic summonses by the Royal Malaysia Police, Rahmah MADANI sales offering savings of up to 30 percent, and the Selera Timur Food Festival showcasing a variety of local delicacies.

The three-day event will also feature community and educational programmes, including a STEM exhibition, healthcare services, advisory sessions, entrepreneurial guidance, and business grant opportunities. Abdul Hazif expressed appreciation to the state government and the Kota Baru Islamic City Municipal Council (MPKB-BRI) for their support and assistance in preparing the venue and ensuring smooth logistics for the programme.

Yesterday, MOSTI Strategic Planning Division secretary Dr. Noraisah Spahat noted that more than 120 touchpoint services would be available by various ministries and agencies during the Kelantan PMR 2025. On August 2, Communications Ministry deputy secretary-general (Strategic Communications) Nik Kamaruzaman Nik Husin mentioned that approximately 25,000 visitors were expected to attend the Kelantan edition of the PMR, which is scheduled to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
