KFC and JMR Partnership Aims to Nurture Young Malaysian Motorsports Talent

Johor bahru: KFC Malaysia has reaffirmed its long-standing partnership with Johor Motorsports Racing (JMR), as both organisations continue their efforts to inspire and develop young Malaysian talent in motorsports. Now in its sixth year, the collaboration highlights KFC Malaysia's commitment to nation-building, reflecting the brand's belief in the power of sports to empower the younger generation and create opportunities across the motorsports ecosystem.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tunku Panglima of Johor, Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim, emphasised that sports remain an important platform for young Malaysians to explore and realise their potential. He noted the importance of providing opportunities for young talents in various fields within the sporting industry, including racing, engineering, and mechanics. Tunku Abdul Rahman expressed gratitude towards KFC, acknowledging their support since his rookie season in 2019, and described this year as particularly special as it marks JMR's sixth year of partnership with the brand.

Tunku Abdul Rahman shared his personal journey, stating that motorsport had always been a childhood dream, one he never expected to realise until the opportunity arose. Meanwhile, QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd chief executive officer and managing director Nehchal Khanna expressed pride in supporting JMR's growth on the international stage. He highlighted that JMR serves as an example of young Malaysians achieving success through hard work and dedication.

Earlier, around 200 university students were given an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the technology, teamwork, and precision that drive JMR's success. They also participated in the interactive Sembang Kereta 2025 Edition session with Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tunku Abu Bakar, who shared their journeys as JMR drivers, providing insight into the discipline, dedication, and passion required for competitive racing.
