Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher on Wednesday, reflecting the positive performance observed in the cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the September 2026 contract increased by 17.5 points, closing at 1,681.0, while the October 2026 contract saw a rise of 18.5 points, also reaching 1,681.0. The December 2026 contract advanced by 16.5 points to settle at 1,686.5, and the March 2027 contract went up by 15.5 points to close at 1,670.5.
Turnover experienced a decrease, falling to 8,598 lots from the previous day's 19,070 lots. Additionally, open interest dropped to 47,550 contracts compared to the earlier total of 54,329 contracts.
At the close of trading, the FBM KLCI recorded a decline of 8.20 points, ending at 1,708.74, down from 1,700.54 on the preceding day.
