Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract opened on a higher note today at Bursa Malaysia Derivatives, reflecting a positive movement in the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.24 am, the futures contracts reported gains with the July 2026 contract increasing by 8.5 points to 1,677.0. The August 2026 contract saw an eight-point rise to 1,677.5, while the September 2026 contract experienced a 9.5-point jump to 1,659.5. Additionally, the December 2026 contract climbed by 7.5 points, reaching 1,660.0.
The turnover for these contracts stood at 1,897 lots, with open interest recorded at 30,679 contracts. As of 9.58 am, the FBM KLCI was at 1,673.24, marking an increase of 11.41 points from the previous closing figure of 1,661.83 on Thursday.
