Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded trading lower today, reflecting the downturn in the cash market. The June 2026 contract decreased by 25.5 points to settle at 1,665.0, while the July 2026 contract saw a decline of 27 points to close at 1,667.0. Additionally, the September 2026 contract dropped 26.5 points to 1,648.0, and the December 2026 contract fell by 23 points to 1,650.0.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, there was a significant increase in market activity, with turnover rising to 52,319 lots compared to 14,824 lots on Wednesday. Open interest also saw an increase, jumping to 84,593 contracts from 45,677 contracts the previous day.
By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI had decreased by 1.09 percent, equivalent to 18.31 points, ending at its intraday low of 1,663.82, down from Wednesday's closing figure of 1,682.13.
