KLCI Futures End Lower Amid Declining Cash Market

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, moving in tandem with the underlying cash market. At the close, the March 2026 and September 2026 contracts fell 23.5 points each to 1,685.5 and 1,668.0, respectively. Meanwhile, April 2026 slid 22.0 points to 1,689.0, and June 2026 declined 21.0 points to 1,686.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover saw a significant drop to 23,780 lots from 66,127 lots last Friday. Open interest also decreased, falling from 102,348 contracts previously to 56,980 contracts. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI retreated by 24.75 points or 1.44 percent, closing at 1,687.90, compared to Friday's close of 1,712.65.
