KLCI Futures Open Lower on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures began the trading day on a lower note on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Thursday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the April 2026 and June 2026 contracts both saw a decrease of 13.5 points, settling at 1,683.0 and 1,682.0, respectively. Meanwhile, the May 2026 contract fell by 12.5 points to 1,684.5, and the September 2026 contract declined by 13.0 points to 1,662.0.

The trading activity recorded a turnover of 2,048 lots, with open interest amounting to 35,665 contracts. Within the first 36 minutes of trading, the FBM KLCI index itself decreased by 9.92 points, falling to 1,686.39 from the previous day's close of 1,696.31.
