KLCI Futures Open Mostly Higher, Tracking Cash Market Gains

Kuala lumpur: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened mostly higher on Friday, reflecting gains in the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.23 am, the spot month August 2025 and September 2025 each increased by 8.5 points to 1,526.50 and 1,507.00 respectively. Meanwhile, December 2025 saw a rise of 6.0 points to 1,506.50. Conversely, the newly introduced March 2026 contract experienced a drop of 12.5 points, settling at 1,488.00.

The turnover was recorded at 1,705 lots, with open interest amounting to 38,205 contracts. The benchmark FBM KLCI climbed 14.37 points to reach 1,527.62 after 44 minutes of trading, compared to the previous day's close of 1,513.25.
