KLCI Futures Record Gains in Early Trading

Kuala lumpur: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures opened higher on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Monday, tracking gains in the cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.30 am, the new spot month of May 2026 contract gained 9.0 points to reach 1,728.5. The June 2026 and December 2026 contracts each increased by 10.50 points to 1,729.0 and 1,711.50, respectively, while the September 2026 contract rose by 11.50 points to 1,712.50.

Turnover was recorded at 2,059 lots, with open interest totalling 33,289 contracts. After 50 minutes of trading, the FBM KLCI was up by 6.32 points at 1,728.34, compared with Thursday's close of 1,722.02.
