KLSICCI Empowers Indian Entrepreneurs Through Digital Approach

Kuala lumpur: The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI) is committed to driving the transformation of local Indian entrepreneurs through digital empowerment. Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo highlighted the significant role that KLSICCI, established in 1928 with over 1,000 direct members and 30,000 indirect members, has played in strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). According to BERNAMA News Agency, KLSICCI has set a vision for 2026 to embark on a journey of empowering, facilitating, upscaling, modernising, digitalising, and upskilling Indian entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to foster a vibrant and dynamic business community, aligning with the evolving needs of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era. Gobind's remarks, delivered by his political secretary Michelle Ng Mei Sze at the 2025 KLSICCI Deepavali Open House, emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring business success in the digital economy. This includes initiatives like the Digit al Adoption Grant, the National Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence, and the AI for Rakyat programme, alongside the goal of cultivating 900 AI start-ups and 30,000 AI talents by 2026. He further noted that collaboration between the government and business chambers like KLSICCI is crucial for expanding digital access. This partnership focuses on providing digital training, e-commerce platforms, cybersecurity awareness, and AI-based solutions to support the growth and evolution of Indian entrepreneurs in the digital age.
