Leaders Encouraged to Strengthen Grassroots Connections for Effective Community Engagement: AMK Chief

Kuala lumpur: Elected leaders need to build strong networks with the community at the grassroots level to ensure that relationships with the people are always maintained, said Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim. He emphasized the importance of these connections during the AMK National Congress 2026, highlighting the role they play in conveying accurate narratives and countering negative perceptions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhammad Kamil stressed the significance of community relations and grassroots networks in his address. He articulated that the presence and communication of leaders are crucial in nurturing these relationships. "Our presence is important, our narrative is important, our machinery is important, our communication is important. Community relations and our networks at the grassroots level are also important," he stated.

Muhammad Kamil further elaborated that election preparations should not solely focus on national narratives but also consider local community issues and needs. He called on local leaders to enhance their engagement by organizing more programs and activities with grassroots members, particularly new recruits, to foster a deeper understanding of the party's ideals and struggles.

The AMK chief expressed concern about the lack of initiatives to instill party idealism and responsibilities among new members. He warned that without these efforts, there is a risk of deviating from the party's core mission. "There was no effort to polish idealism, to make our new members understand the duties and responsibilities and the reasons why we are here and have chosen this platform for struggle," he remarked.

Muhammad Kamil's address served as a call to action for leaders to ensure that they remain connected to the communities they serve, thereby reinforcing their commitment to the party's principles and objectives.
