Local Man Arrested and 2,000 Yaba Pills Seized in Gua Musang

Gua Musang:Police arrested a local man and confiscated approximately 2,000 pills believed to be yaba, weighing 200 grams and valued at RM30,000, during checks at Kilometre 18, Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Lipis.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the arrest occurred around 6 pm when the 49-year-old suspect attempted to flee after his Toyota Vios was stopped for inspection by a Mobile Patrol Vehicle unit from the Gua Musang District Police Headquarters.

Police pursued and apprehended the suspect, leading to the discovery of the suspected yaba pills in the vehicle. A preliminary urine screening test indicated the suspect was positive for methamphetamine.

Additionally, police seized the car, a car key, and two mobile phones as part of the investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 39B and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, with further investigations ongoing.
