Kota kinabalu: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sabah has launched operations rooms to assist the public in reporting any suspected corruption or power abuse during the upcoming state election. This initiative aims to ensure transparency and integrity throughout the electoral process.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the operations rooms will be accessible around the clock, starting today and continuing until December 5. The public can reach out to the MACC through various contact numbers: the MACC Kota Kinabalu Office at 017-8478740 or 088-488381, the MACC Sandakan Office at 089-668746 or 011-18669877, and the MACC Tawau Office at 089-772743. Moreover, the MACC encourages the public to report any concerns regarding corruption or abuse of power via email at [email protected]. In a statement, the MACC emphasized the importance of lawful conduct for all candidates and political parties, urging adherence to the MACC Act 2009 and the Election Offences Act 1954.

The Election Commission (EC) has outlined the timeline for the 17th Sabah state election, with polling day set for November 29. EC Chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun has announced that nominations will occur on November 15, and early voting is scheduled for November 25.
