Mahani Zubedy Launches Bite-Sized Quran Reflections Book

Kuala lumpur: A new book offering bite-sized Quranic reflections for daily use, "365 Quran - Two-Minute Daily Reflections" by Mahani Zubedy, was launched today to make the holy text more accessible to Malaysians of all backgrounds. Published by Zubedy Sdn Bhd, the book contains 365 short entries, each starting with a selected Quranic verse followed by a simple and practical reflection that can be read in just a few minutes.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mahani Zubedy shared her inspiration for the book during the launch event, emphasizing that it is not a tafsir or scholarly commentary. "Every time I read a verse, I'm blown away. The verses inspire me and get me thinking. I look at its historical context, but the writing is really about how the verse speaks to me. It's a personal reflection," she explained.

The book was officially launched by Tunku Zain Al-Abidin Tuanku Muhriz, son of the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. Mahani expressed her hope that readers will realize that connecting with the Quran is not limited to any particular group. "Sometimes we think religion must be approached in a certain way, but to me, the Quran shows that anyone can connect and be inspired," she said.

Meanwhile, Tunku Zain Al-Abidin highlighted the book's format as beneficial for busy individuals looking to reconnect with their faith. He stated, "In public policy, academia or business, many of us feel we are not as connected to Allah as we should be. The bite-sized format allows us to dive in without the noise and distractions of social media."

He also noted that the selected verses inspire, calm, and remind readers of their purpose, expressing confidence that the book will benefit both Muslims and non-Muslims. The book, described as a practical daily companion for reflection and inner grounding, is available at MPH bookstores nationwide. It is priced at RM65.70, with a promotional offer of RM50 in conjunction with today's launch.
