SAR Efforts Intensify for Missing Teenager in Taman Prima Saujana

Taman prima saujana: The search and rescue (SAR) operation for a teenage boy feared to have drowned after falling into a drain in Taman Prima Saujana resumed this morning. The boy, who was swept away by the current while attempting to retrieve a ball, remains missing as efforts continue.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) initiated the operation anew at 8 am, expanding the search area to include Sungai Langat. Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, the department's assistant director of operations, confirmed the ongoing efforts in a statement today.

A Bernama survey conducted at the site observed the SAR team, comprising members of the Fire and Rescue Department and the Civil Defence Force, diligently searching for the 14-year-old victim. The unfortunate incident, which involved two brothers aged 12 and 14, unfolded when they fell into a drain while trying to retrieve a ball at Lorong 1/3A, Taman Prima Saujana.

Tragically, the younger brother was found yesterday evening in Sungai Merbau in Kampung Sungai Kantan, approximately two kilometers from the initial location of the incident. He was later pronounced dead at Kajang Hospital. The search continues for his older brother, as the community hopes for a positive outcome amidst this distressing situation.
