Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the gravity of the recent attack on Doha, describing it as a severe breach of international law and an unwarranted provocation. He highlighted the critical impact of this aggression on Qatar, a nation pivotal in mediation efforts.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, in his address at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit, Dr. Ibrahim praised Qatar's role in fostering dialogue alongside Egypt and the United States. He condemned the attack as deliberate, noting that Israeli aggression has not spared any nation. The ongoing destruction in Gaza, witnessed globally, continues to inflict unprecedented suffering on the Palestinian people, with families and children trapped under the debris.
The Malaysian Prime Minister further noted that Israeli aggression has also affected Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, blatantly disregarding international law and undermining the international order. He criticized Israel's stance against the establishment of a Palestinian state, interpreting it as a clear rejection of UN resolutions supporting Palestinian self-determination.
