Man Arrested for Security Guard’s Death in Klang

Klang: Police have arrested a man suspected of causing the death of a security guard using a car steering lock in a residential area in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, early this morning. Klang Utara police chief S. Vijaya Rao said that the incident, which occurred at about 1 am at a security post in the housing area, was triggered by a dispute after the suspect was reprimanded by the victim while drinking with friends during a security patrol.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim, who sustained injuries from the physical assault, was rushed to Shah Alam Hospital but was pronounced dead at 4.18 am, believed to have been attacked with a blunt object. Acting on information, a police team from the Klang Utara district police headquarters (IPD) tracked down and arrested the suspect, and seized a car steering lock believed to have been used in the incident.

Vijaya stated that checks on the suspect found that he has eight prior criminal records and two drug-related records, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
