MARA Adopts Two Sons of Road Accident Victim Under Foster Care

Klang: Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) has adopted two children who lost their father in a road accident in Klang, Selangor recently as foster children under Yayasan Pelajaran MARA (YPM).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MARA chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki announced the adoption of Muhammad Aqif Amsyar, nine, and Muhammad Afif Izz Rayqal, seven, sons of the late Amirul Hafiz Omar, 33. This initiative reflects a commitment to ensure their education is safeguarded. The support is not just a temporary relief but a long-term commitment.

'A monthly allowance of RM120 each will be provided at the primary school level and increased to RM150 when they enter secondary school, along with continuous monitoring until they complete their schooling,' Asyraf Wajdi posted on Facebook. He expressed gratitude to Larut UMNO Division chief Datuk Mohammad Daud Mohd Yusoff and YPM chief executive officer Faisalludin Mohamat Yusuff for their involvement in visiting and assisting the family.

He also offered words of encouragement to the children, urging them to remain strong and to focus on their studies. Asyraf Wajdi conveyed that MARA will support them in building a better future and prayed for the deceased's soul to rest among the righteous.

The tragedy not only claimed the life of a father but left emotional scars on the family. Asyraf Wajdi shared a video call with the victim's mother, Faridah Ahmad, 56, describing the deceased as a good son who always made his family happy. He noted that the loss is profound, marking the absence of a significant family support.
